Tom Forrer Memorial Fund

Tom E. Forrer was born on March 6, 1944, and died at his rural Ettrick farm on June 5, 2022. Tom served as chairman of the Trempealeau County Humane

Society for many years. He was instrumental in the building of our current location between Blair & Ettrick.  Tom adopted the first dog (Sparky) ever placed

under protection of the shelter.  Sparky was found starving and vermin-infested near Strum in 2004.  Sparky lived with Tom until Sparky passed in September 2016.

Tom's passion for animals continues with the Tom Forrer Memorial Fund. The fund assists  with spay/neuter costs for your dog. If you are interested in applying for these funds please send a letter of financial need along with an estimate for the spay/neuter of your dog. Approval is not guaranteed as fund are limited.
